"It takes a village..."
Frontier Village is run by volunteers.  They are people like you with a love of history and the desire to preserve it for the next generations.  You can help!

Lead tours of the Village

Teach a class- Embroidery, basket making, honing and sharpening a knife, using hand carpentry tools, Baking Bread, making dolls to sell or teach a class about making dolls, sewing using a machine or by hand sewing. Sew bonnets for the museum to sell. All of the old household skills are needed. Are you a great story teller?

We need someone who has old fashioned knowledge of old farm machinery. Our old machinery needs restoring and we need someone to show the kids what the machine or tools do.

We need all kinds of help with the old homes, if you have any carpentry skill or any skill, let us know you would be willing to share it with us.

Would you consider being a reenactor, we are planning classes for that.

Help in the museum, lots of glass to clean and displays to dust. Help with visitors, become a tour guide.

Caretaker for a cabin on occasion (Keep it clean and attractive) if you like puttering in the yard we have a big one without enough hands to keep it nice.

Help in maintaining the grounds and cabins (repairs, Help with gardening,    etc.) Plans are to do some pioneer plantings, vegetables of the mid 1800's, flowers from the same time period and an herb garden is underway soon.
